Introduction to Klingon

For anyone familiar with pop culture, the Klingon language needs no introduction. The guttural tongue of Star Trek's alien warriors, it was developed into a fully-functional language by Dr. Marc Okrand. Since the publication of The Klingon Dictionary (1985), it has been used in multiple Star Trek movies, TV episodes, and licensed publications, and even outside of Star Trek. In this talk, I will give an introduction to its grammar and vocabulary, analyse some lines from the movies and shows, and provide some useful expressions to memorise which might save your life should you ever encounter a Klingon.
